Crowns

When a tooth is severely damaged, we not only need to consider replacing the missing tooth structure but also need to strengthen and protect the remaining tooth structure from further deterioration.  A crown (cap) lets us achieve this.  The crown encircles and covers the remaining tooth to restore its strength and function.

Often, a tooth that has been damaged by tooth decay, has cracks, has undergone root canal therapy, or has had repeated fillings over the years, is weak and more prone to breaking during normal eating or when clenching down.  The crown serves to protect and prolong the life of these teeth.

To ensure high-quality restorations and maintain traceability, we only use a local laboratory on the Central Coast, not outsource to an overseas dental laboratory.
